Is This One For You?
Love ripping waves but still get stoked on a twin-tip session if it’s flat? If the answer is yes, the Method is the kite for you.
Balance Speed
We love speed, but power without control sucks. A 12m2 should be fast but the 5m2 must be manageable. Each Method size is its own individual design, NOT scaled versions of a template. For optimal balance of speed vs control, Method will push your buttons.
Power Turns
Our kites don’t corner like some fat chick on a waterbed. Power in the turns is critical. Method will require more from you than some random, lame pivot-turn kite, and will take you to the next level.
Auto Unhook
All our kites love to fly unhooked without touching the depower strap.
Direct Feel
Affirmative and positive feedback on control bar. You’ll know where the kite is at all times, because the Method communicates clearly with its rider. In a cool, telepathic kinda way.
Silky Power Control
Many have shot their wad when they took this mother for a test drive – wetsuit hire companies beware… Huge, smooth power and efficiency, all controllable within arm’s length. Pulling de-power? You should be on a smaller version.
Built-In Bungee
Outstanding upwind performance pulls you back to the point break like a rubber band.
The Rock
Rock solid, stable and brilliant for drifting.
The Boost Surprise
We never designed the Method to be a rocket launcher and it took us by surprise. “I’ve never jumped as high with any other kite” said Felix Pivec from the stratosphere over Hawaii during our 525,000 minutes (1 year) of testing.
Auto Relaunch
These kites are born to fly. Try to keep them on the water. We could bang on about this for ever with a dreamy look on our faces – over to you…
Skill Level
Beginners beware – this kite is for intermediate/advanced riders only. Switch kites are designed to upskill your level – challenge yourself.

Constant Curve Design
All Switch kites use constant-curve LE tubes and struts - no segmented leading edge tubes, kinks or weak spots. Constant curve tubes create a stiffer, more stable structure which is smaller, faster, lighter. A superior engineering structure that's aerodynamically clean and efficient. We don't do angled corners that disrupt airflow, concentrate stress and distort underload. Why would we? No one else seems to be doing this yet - but we insist on only the best for Switch riders.

Trailing Edge Flow Control
Smooth upwind riding with zero flap. Period.

Transfer Line Bridles

Our chief aeronautical designer Bill Hansen has got a brain the size of a planet. Over to him on this one:

“All Switch SLE bridled kites use a proven and safe Transfer Line (TL) bridle system with a single low-load kite-mounted pulley connecting the front and rear flying lines. The TL system supports the critical mid-wingtip area allowing a smaller and lighter construction without support battens or overly large LE tube diameters. Turning is smooth and sheeting is consistent with a tight, ‘connected’ hard line feel which isn’t possible with floating high-load front line pulleys – which are subject to frequent pitch oscillations and potentially dangerous failure.”

Er… right on, Bill. If we translate that via our babelfish discombobulator it translates to something like “the pulley gives you brilliant performance and a direct feel. It rocks”

Uni-Pump Rapid Inflate/Deflate System
Pump up faster than Nikki Benz. Deflate quicker than Tiger Woods' ego. The Uni-Pump minimizes set up/pack up time - less pumping more jumping.
