Latest Review

It's a perfect balance between comfort and power. It's a good freeride board, super upwind performance, total comfort in choppy conditions, almost no splashing... It's perfect for beginners trying to learn to go upwind and also for medium riders who just want to enjoy a nice riding. But it's more than a freeride board. I have the 136, I use it with boots and I can tell you that the pop is perfect! The board can be used for competition by far!!! You only have to edge a millisecond and it's like a shotgun, perfect for choppy conditions when you cannot edge for so long. And if you use it in flat water, you can edge longer and the pop is like a bomb! Edge hard and......... pop! I love it. And the landing is very controlled and soft at the same time. I suppose the key of this board is that it has the perfect rocker for being comfortable without getting the board slower and it has the perfect stiffness to give you a massive pop and a soft landing at the same time. Honestly, it's a 10 out of 10!

I have been riding MjcompV2 for about 2 years. I usually use 136cm and use 140cm at the light wind condition. I can edging easily not only on the flat water, but also on a rough and choppy water surface. This makes a powerful pop for freestyle tricks. Also Up wind performance is very good. Its Compatibility with bindings is very good, so I use bindings when doing freestyle tricks. (Posted on 26/01/17)

When I got it first time I was thinking one more wake style board to break with my boots but more than one year everything still works really good. Amazing pop for freestyle tricks, fast upwind and nice design for all types of riding style .
Screw connection to be honest really strong past in the days I remember different brands I had to drill my board to make strong screw connection to avoid some problems to use my boots without problem because they were always coming out . Colors ON MJ2 never chance even looks stiff really flexible on hard landings I m 75 kg and 1.80 cm high for boots I m using 140 cm for free ride and old school 136 cm are my choices. Foot pads and straps are really simple ,well done and use full by having different setting options amazing price great board .

Been riding board for over a year, goes up wind well, deals with the chop im 90kg riding in boots and the 140 is a good size for me. Get the smaller fins if u are using as a freestyle board. Price is good and construction is solid. (Posted on 14/01/17)
Great board, super quality!Review by Robert
I have ridden this board since 6 months now. It is early planning thanks to moderate rocker and has a really good base material. I have ride up on sand and rocks and the only thing I can see is surface scratches. Compared to other boards quality wise, this board is one of the best I had. Previously ridden boards are several models from cabrinha, liquid force, shinn, best and xenon.

The board is pretty stiff and that makes for a good pop, Thanks to the rocker it easy to gain speed for boosting or unhooked tricks, also upwind performance is pretty good. The only negative I have to say is if you ride choppy conditions and have bad knees. Then you might like some more rocker or a soft board. For me this board is perfect!

Btw, I ride it with boots. (Posted on 18/10/16)

Tres bonne planche, solide performante et pas trop lourdeReview by Guillaume
Données :
1 m80 et 70kg, tester en 9 et en 12m nitro
136 x 41,5

Jaw dropper Review by Pauro
Love my new MJ136. There's a lot of good things to say about it, from its solidness yet still has the perfect amount of flex, the most comfortable pads I've used and its finless ability. It has surprised me on a number of levels, I find the pop is incredible and the added weight I've not used to fully exaggerates my movements giving a more styly look and feel. Landing finless at full warp isn't an issue either..its just plants itself down hard grabs and your off.

Highly recommended guys and girls! (Posted on 8/04/16)

Great board with good price,I would like it more lightweight but ok,ι use it in all conditions with out problem i am 80 kilos ,flat or choppy is great, good upwind,no spray with excellent pop.
And i like it for big jumps, soft pads and smooth and stable landings.if you prefer boots in my weight choose 140.

All round performance.Review by Mike
Been riding the mj2 for a few months now and am nothing short of being impressed. Great flatwater performance, pushes through chop and eats up hard landings. Channels in the base comes in handy when riding finless giving a bit of extra bite. Board is holding up well from taking a beating on sliders. Price + performance = a must have board. Yew! (Posted on 19/08/15)
136x41.5Review by TTx
Wasn’t sure whether to purchase the 140 or 136 as I already had an old 135 Underground Twin tip and a 165 Litewave Twin tip for light wind sessions
The first ride on this board was in 13 to 14 knots on my 12m Nitro which would be a struggle on my old Underground. I had my Litewave on standby but there was no need to make the change. I was amazed not only how smooth and comfortable this board is but how super-fast it travels up wind even in light winds
The foot straps are so comfortable that I will be purchasing a set for my Litewave Twin tip

(Posted on 18/05/15)

Tried my new board last week.
First impression. Great feel, nice pop, stable handling and I was kiting in light wind with 13-15kts a 12m and I'm 90k. It was no problem to keep me going. The pads are a bit small for my size US12 but comfortable.
Thks switch. Now saving for the Helium.

(Posted on 6/03/15)

140x43 fun machine!Review by Lorenzo
I got this board last summer and love it!
It is heavy so no worries on the landings. It's super flexible, so loads of pop and confort feel, you definitely don't feel like you are riding a mccdonalds tray!
I have straps, really comfortable!

Light wind: if you want to ride, jump a bit, have fun rather than just cruise on a big ass clumsy door board, this is the one.
I use it with my element 15m in lighwind and enjoy, then when the wind picks up I switch to my 12m nitro and go big!

The design limits the spray and cuts through the chop.
Added bonus: the orange color makes it easy to spot in the chop if you happen to lose it after a wipeout.

Super easy to put together and just right size to fit in a travel gold bag for one board +2 kite kiting trip!

In my opinion the upwind of this board is remarkable, but you have to be able to ride it properly. I try to keep as many fins in the water when going upwind in light wind and it works a charm.

Recommend it highly (Posted on 4/12/14)

salut,

thanks switch!

I have MJcomp2 136x41.5.

First think, board is nice. Good design, Orange go nice with Element3. Streps wery good. Finns ok, only short options.
Board is wery smooth, good control. Excellent upwind performance.

Wery massive made, little big weigth. Good massive pop. But in start must have good timing for that. After some jumps absolutly no problems. Good soft landing!

So prfect board for good price!

Killer boardReview by Johan
Having ridden this board since the release I though I'd give my impressions. (136x41.5 cm)

I've only been out with straps once and they are very nice indeed, solid feeling.
Not the kind that you will slide out of like on my old RRD board.

Rest of the time it's been binding all the way! And that is how to bring this board to life.
It is heavy, no arguing about that. It eats chop and has lots of pop so bindings help you put all that weight to good use.Solid landings when going unhooked. Remove the fins and it's a great wakeboard too. Took it to a wake park and the guys there were impressed(not to talk about the looks cuz they are epic!)

Only downsides I can think of is the upwind performance which falls slightly beind a board with a flatter outlay which is natural seeing as this is a hardcore wakestyle board. Don't get me wrong, you wont be dissapointed with it's upwind. And the other downside is the lightwind performance. But who rides in light wind anyways?!?! RIght!

Overall great board, love it alot and can recommend it with all of my heart. (Posted on 31/08/14)
GreatReview by JC
Okay, a bit of a disclaimer here. I have been kiting for about 2-3 months and was on an Axis Patrol 148cm X 47. This was my first board and it was a great first board and may still be a good light wind board. I will probably keep it around for that but I got the MJcomp2 late last week and rode it for 3 days. Two days in teh SF Bay and last day at Sherman island. Was on a 13 Edge and a 10 edge respectively in the bay and at Sherman. At Sherman, it was flooding and I managed to get upwind no problem. As well as I did on my Axis during an ebb! Granted, as a newbie every day sees a lot of improvement, but the MJ at 140CM (I am 6'2 210lbs) was so fun and loose and still got upwind VERY well. I love this thing! (Posted on 27/08/14)
Une planche parfaiteReview by Stephan
- Conclusion:

Très bonne boardReview by Alban

(Posted on 10/08/14)
Pop and GunsReview by queneseb
I like the design, pretty cool, blue and orange perfectly match with my Element13 or Combat and nitro ;)

Massive Pop, Excellent stability in landing (Perfect for blind tricks), top upwind hability for a freestyle board, No water spray in the face compare to the old version of the board. It has got a medium flex

I use 140 with binding in flat water for freestyle and 136cm with straps for Airstyle or in Choppy water. #1 combo !

Great board @ great price!Review by ICE
After about 5 session on my MJcomp2 140*43 i can say:
Rugged construction, built to last!
Great attention to detail: g10 fins transparent-blue, bright orange ABS edge (very thick) , electric blue hull, iridescent blue on deck ... just gorgeous.

Pro:
Pad comfortable and direct, allowing a control of the board without compromise.
Board with great upwind ability, but very controllable and accurate in fast movement.
Awesome pop, soft and controlled landings .
Spray minimized.
Price.

versus:
weight: robustness has its price. (Posted on 28/07/14)

Super saltos con MJComp2Review by Valentin

(Posted on 4/07/14)

Vraiment super planche!

Yew! MJcomp2 136x41,5Review by Andre

The amazing thing is you can buy this board for under $700 AUD. Most retail shops charge almost double for a new board (Posted on 10/03/15)

(Posted on 6/03/15)

The pop is good as well.
The water were choopy but no spray on the face.
Realy liked the board. (Posted on 14/02/15)
140x43 fun machine!Review by Lorenzo
